Need last minute gifts?

Four days until Christmas and still down a few gifts? I’ll admit I have two left to buy—which is a lot better than some of my family members who don’t start their shopping until Christmas Eve. Here are my top picks for last-minute gifts you can pick up in Lincoln Park. Plus, one of them is free! You’re welcome.

Mani Pedi at Nail Princess: This hidden gem is on manicure row near Halsted and Diversey, where there are four nail salons on the same block. Although I’m somewhat partial to Nail.com, this is a great deal and the service is super friendly. Price: A cool $30.

Zoo Lights: Every year Lincoln Park Zoo transforms into a special holiday fantasyland, complete with Santa, ice carving, and holiday shopping. Want to make it special? Warm up after with a cheese board and a glass of Bordeaux at Mon Ami Gabi just down the street. Price: Free! (The Zoo Lights, not the cheese board)

Dinner at 2 Sparrows: This new breakfast/lunch spot on Diversey is introducing a series of beer dinners on Fridays, and they sound delicious. Think crepes with blueberry mascarpone for dessert. Does the main course even matter? Price: Not cheap at $60…might want to reserve this for somebody special.

Second City’s Dysfunctional Holiday Revue: I saw the same show at Second City four times and laughed equally as hard each time. I can only imagine how they rip Christmas to shreds. Take your cynical Uncle Bobby. Cost: $16-22.
